Aleutia seafood market reopens to offer wild Alaskan salmon online

Hot on the heels of the 2012 sockeye salmon season opening, Aleutia’s online seafood market is once again ready to sell Alaska’s sustainable fish.

“We couldn’t fill the demand for Aleutia sockeye last year,” said Aleutia interim director Karen Montoya. “So we’re telling people that if they want Alaska’s best salmon they better pre-order now.”

Aleutia sockeye fillets are sold at high-end retailers across the country. But people can also buy cased fillets straight from harvesters at Aleutia’s seafood market. The frozen Aleutia salmon fillet cases are perfect for seafood lovers who want healthy, hand-selected wild salmon harvested in a sustainable fishery throughout the year.

“The Aleutia sockeye you pull out of your freezer in November will taste just like it was just caught in the North Pacific Ocean that day,” said Montoya. “I’m not exaggerating. Every single  Aleutia sockeye is hand-selected, iced on board the fishing vessel and then flash frozen. That’s unparalleled. And only possible if you fish for quality over quantity.  The end result is Aleutia sockeye always tastes like it was just-caught.”

Aleutia sockeye fillets are sold online vacuum packed with bones removed in 25-pound cases. Shipping is available throughout the United States. Pre-ordered sockeye generally ships in the Fall.

Hey Karen-I’m going to order right away this year. Last year I had to fight for a box. Great seafood. Keep up the good work! Matt
